Charming & Rustic Cabin on the Little Red River!

This cabin has so much potential. The location was amazing! Quiet, peaceful and tranquil. We used the deck extensively. There were several nice deck amenities. Blackstone griddle, charcoal grill, and an electric smoker. They provided charcoal, fluid and smoking chips. All were dirty. The smoker and griddle had rancid drain/smoke pans. The inside of the property was clean but needed deep cleaned. Cobwebs in corners, hairs on the chair slipcover, and in the bathroom and dirty pans (burnt on crud). The outside needs a lot of work. The outdoor furniture had seen better days, and the cushions were dirty. Both need refreshed/replaced. There was a bed frame under the cabin, and some moldy lifejackets. There is a boat out front, that needs hauled off. It’s got standing water in it and is an Invitation for mosquitoes. The cabin stated it sleeps 4. It sleeps two, safely. The loft is a liability if you want someone to sleep in it. The ladder is almost straight up and down. I asked if the jacuzzi tub worked and was told yes. Half of the jets worked, and the 1990’s tub is full of crazing. It’s past time to replace. The bed was comfortable. The chairs need replacing. They are old and tired. The kitchen sink has no finish left on it. Needs replaced. It was a much needed getaway and had some wonderful touches. However, it’s time for to refresh/replace/restore/clean up. We loved the deck! We stayed out on the deck, the vast majority of the time. We went nowhere. It was wonderful to be secluded and being on the river. We couldn’t enjoy the dock as the ramp was way too steep. Great location, easy check in and I have recommended it to friends, as a tranquil getaway. The manager provided excellent service.

We stayed at the cabin for a mini honeymoon and LOVED it!!! The owners were very responsive to questions. The place was clean, cozy, and close to town. We enjoyed our stay and definitely look forward to visiting again!

My wife and I came down for a relaxing weekend to celebrate her birthday. The cabin was very clean and cozy! It was well stocked. The view of the river was beautiful. We enjoyed sitting on the deck and watching the river flow by. I did some fishing off the dock. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back!
